When you need it

Six tips so you don't regret it
Identical boxes, filled to the top
Boxes of the same size stack without gaps and do not cave in. A half-filled box gets crushed by the weight of the one above.
Heavy at the bottom, fragile on top
Books and tools on the floor; lamps, glass and electronics up high. It sounds obvious until you open the box with the television in it.
Take apart whatever you can
A dismantled bed takes up a third of the space. Keep the screws in a bag taped to the frame itself, not in a drawer you will never find again.
Leave an aisle to the back
If you are going to come in more than once, do not pack the unit like a game of Tetris: keep a narrow aisle and put what you will need first at the front.
No plastic against wood
Cover furniture with blankets or old sheets, not with cling film: plastic traps condensation and the wood pays for it.
Appliances dry and ajar
Empty and dry the fridge and washing machine, and leave the door slightly open. Shut and damp, they smell within a week.
