What does a storage unit cost in Elche?
Real 2026 prices, with names and figures. Ours included — it would be odd not to.
The Elche price range
The price per square metre in Elche runs from €12 to €29 per m² per month. The rule holds at every site: the smaller the unit, the dearer the metre. A 1 m² unit is around €22 per m²; a 9-10 m² one, about €12.

What the advertised price leaves out
Before comparing two rates, check these five lines. The real difference between one site and another usually lives here, not in the monthly fee:
- Deposit. One month's rent is the norm, returned 25 to 30 days after you leave.
- Sign-up fee. Up to €20 for the first day's paperwork.
- Insurance. Between €10 and €20 a month. At some sites it is compulsory even if you already have home insurance.
- Price reviews. Many contracts allow the fee to be raised every six months. It is the number one complaint about this industry.
- Leaving mid-month. If they do not pro-rate, you pay the whole month even if you leave on the 2nd.
So what should you be paying?
It depends on what you are storing, not on what you are offered. As a quick reference: a whole room fits in 3.5 m²; a one-bedroom flat needs about 5.5 m²; a two-bedroom one goes to 10.5 m², and a family move with large furniture will not fit in a single unit. If you are torn between two sizes, start with the smaller: changing units costs nothing.
