What you can store and what you can't
You should not discover a storage site's rules at the moment you sign. Here they all are, in the open: what is forbidden, how access works, what happens if a month goes wrong and how to leave whenever you want.
What never gets in
Flammables and fuels
Petrol, solvents, paint, gas bottles, fireworks. It is the number one rule in this industry, and the one that protects your things and everyone else's.
Loose or damaged lithium batteries
A scooter or bike with its battery fitted and in good condition, yes; loose, swollen or dubious batteries, no.
Perishables and animals
Nothing that rots, smells or attracts pests: food, plants, untreated hides. And obviously nothing alive.
Illegal or of dubious origin
The contract requires that what you store is yours and legal. There is CCTV and we cooperate with the authorities if we have to.
Cash, jewellery and extreme valuables
The basic insurance included covers ordinary household goods, not an improvised safe. That is what banks are for.
Everything else — furniture, boxes, files, clothes, tools, stock, bikes, clutter with a history — goes in without a problem. If you are unsure about something specific, ask us on WhatsApp before you bring it.
The five house rules
Your padlock, your key
Every unit is closed with YOUR padlock: we have no copy and we do not go in. The fitting takes two padlocks — the second is only used in the non-payment procedure, never to open it.
A storage unit is not a workshop
Storing, yes; sanding, painting, charging batteries or running a business inside, no. There are deliberately no sockets in the corridors.
Nobody stays inside
The site is for loading, unloading and sorting your own things. You cannot stay, sleep or hang around — that is what the alarm and the CCTV are for.
Your digital key is personal
24/7 access is tied to your contract. You can bring whoever you like, but the key is not transferable: whoever comes in with you is your responsibility.
Weight and common sense
Spread the weight across the floor and do not hang anything from the partitions. On the upper floor, only what you can carry up the stairs by hand.
Non-payment and leaving, with no small print
If a payment fails
An email and an SMS, and 7 days' grace to sort it out — anyone can have a bad month. If it stays unpaid, access is suspended and the unit is blocked with a second padlock, as the contract says. Your things are not opened or touched: once you are up to date, the padlock comes off and everything goes back to normal.
When you leave
No minimum term and no penalty: you tell us, you empty it, you take off your padlock and the last month is settled pro rata by the day — you do not pay a whole month for leaving on the 2nd. The digital key deactivates itself: there is nothing to hand back.
